De-Mystifying the "Marfa Lights"
- Original posting Dec 2004, last updated Jul 2008
Details of discovery of a similar situation in Colorado ("Springs Lights!") where the "cause" or "source" is understood thereby providing significant evidence that the Marfa Lights in Texas are nothing but man-made lights seen from a great distance.
Why Not a
Practical
Solar Powered Car?
- Original posting Aug 2005, last updated Jul 2008
Thoughts on why we don't find practical solar powered automobiles. No conspiracies here, just good, old physics.
INANITION AWARD!
- This is an annual award to recognize the most deserving element of our society representing the "The absence (or loss) of social, moral, or intellectual vitality or vigor" - i.e. INANITION
This is where I take on the "conspiracy theories"; the mindless drivel that spews from some web sites that insist things just aren't as they are; and the depravities of our society in general. "No airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11". "The Moon landing was faked!" "UFOs are real!" "There are codes in the Bible!" No target is too far out for me to discredit and award the "Inanition Award".

A Charging Cradle for the Pogo "Radio YourWay" AM/FM Radio Recorder
- Dec 2004
This page is to share a design for a charging cradle for the original Radio YourWay (RYW). The original model did not have a charging cradle as an option, and the original model RYW was a battery HOG, so if you wanted to use rechargeable batteries, you were on your own. Most people would use an external charger, but the original model RYW was designed for a charger, you just couldn't buy one! So, this home-made version was my solution. The original RYW has now been superceded by the Radio YourWay LX, which comes with a recharger, so beware - this article is for the original model only. (Note: This page no longer maintained.)
...more to come ... someday ... when that elusive "time" is found.
